Your puppy will receive a full health check by our vet before coming home to you. Your puppy will also receive his/her first set of shots. Puppies will be dewormed every 2 weeks, starting at 2 weeks. All these records will be given to you, along with your suggested future vaccine schedule. Your puppies will also be microchipped, have a 30 complimentary Trupanion puppy insurance, and come with a FULL DNA health embark test.
As a best practice, we ask that you bring your puppy to your vet within 72 hours of puppy pick up.
When you pick up your puppy, we will sign a contract that includes a 12 month spay/neuter clause and a 2 year health guarantee. Copy of the contract can be sent for you review upon request.

Right now, we mostly breed medium size between 35-50 pounds. We will sometimes breed mini sizes (25-35lbs), and occasionally a couple of our dogs will be standards (50+ lbs). We breed a variety of generations, but are working towards our curated multi-generational lines where we continue to select for desired traits and breed away from undesired traits.

We are very active on instagram and facebook and you can see all the puppies grow in our home through these regular photo and video updates!!! We will also be updating the website with photos constantly. Deposit families will receive emails with photos and personality characteristics so they get a sense of the puppies leading up to puppy pick day.

There will be a gotcha day established when the puppies are 8 weeks old for families to pick up their puppies. Once the puppies are 8 weeks old, and you have a deposit on a puppy, you can schedule a pick up within 3 days. If you need to pick up past 3 days, there will be a $25 boarding fee per day, at the discretion of the breeder.

No! We do not dock tails (including poodle tails) nor remove dewclaws.

If you are in state, or within driving distance, we will welcome you to our home to pick-up your puppy!!
If you are out of state and flying, we can work with you a couple ways!! If you fly into PHX, we can meet you at the airport or you can rent a car and come to our home to pick-up. Flight nannies are also a great option (usually $400-$700) so your puppy can travel to your closest airport in the airplane cabin with your flight nanny, and you pick up your puppy from the flight nanny at your airport. We can work with you to find your best option!

We will consider as a case by case basis. As part of the process, we will dialogue with you a bit about your breeding program; we look forward to working with responsible breeders only. We will pursue legal action for the breeding rights fee if the 12 month spay/neuter clause in the contract is not adhered to if you do not have a breeding rights contract with us. For those that do pursue breeding rights, we will work with you on picking the right puppy for your program!

Yes!!! We LOVE this strategy and plan to use this often with our doodles. Females release multiple eggs upon ovulation and each egg has a separate sperm fertilize it. So this means, there could be the chance to have multiple sires’ (papas’) sperm involved the days around our mamas’ ovulation. If a litter is dual sired, we will DNA test all puppies and it enables us to confirm with certainty by around 4 weeks who is the papa to which puppies, and can make sure our families have the correct parentage information on their pups. When we do this, it allows for more genetic diversity in our program, which significantly helps make our program get stronger and stronger, reaching our goals more efficiently. As with anything in nature, there is no way to know whose sperm will ovulate which egg, so we could end up with a mix of 50/50, or perhaps a litter with one stud getting all the eggs and the second getting none. So when we do these dual sire litters, we will wait until our Embarks come back to ensure parentage.

First, furnishings give doodles the “fluffy” look, their mustaches, beards, and eyebrows. Instead of a fur coat (that sheds), furnished dogs have hair as their coat fiber. This also drastically reduces shedding when compared to double coated fur (like with Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dogs). There is a range of “strength” to the gene and a pup with weak furnishings will start out looking a little less fluffy/curly and with no mustache/beard, then around 6-9 months, when the adult hair comes in, their furnishings will come in as well. They will look a little less fluffy and shed a tiny bit more then dogs with a stronger furnishings, but no where near a Golden Retriever or Bernese Mountain Dog. They have easier coats to maintain and will mat less and you will spend less on grooming! Any doodle has the potential of this, and it takes extra testing to know if this is a possibility within a litter. We do that testing here at Daisy Mountain doodles so we will inform those that have this probability. These pups are great for families who want to keep a little more of the look of the Golden Retriever or Bernese Mountain Dog intact, and want easier grooming maintenance.

As a personal note :), one of my Grandmas is Scandinavian (Swedish and Norwegian), and we have grown up with a lot of Scandinavian traditions and decor, so I wanted to carry on the legacy. The dogs that live in my home will have Scandinavian names :)
